The top class of motorsport is racing on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. As in previous years, sports enthusiasts can also come to the event by small aircraft. This is made possible by an exceptional permit for the military airfield Hinterstoisser (LOXZ) in Zeltweg, which can also be used for civil and private air traffic this weekend. During the entire Grand Prix weekend, there will be a free shuttle service between LOXZ and the race track, which is only a five-minute drive from the airport. Visitors will also find a specially equipped crew and guest lounge with drinks, snacks and free WLAN.

Weather
The flight ideally takes place under favourable visual flight conditions (VFR). We can switch to instrument flight (IFR) as required in order to reach our destination safely and punctually, even under unfavourable visual conditions. The change to instrument flight (IFR) can have an influence on the flight route and altitude. During an instrument flight (IFR), certain minimum weather conditions must be met - but much less than under visual flight conditions (VFR). Safety first applies here as well!
Number of participants
1 - 2 persons per flight. On this longer trip I recommend well-built guests to fly solo. If you want to travel with 2 persons, I recommend several daily stages with shorter flight segments. As an alternative, one person can travel certain flight segments with a scheduled plane and thus be flown alternately.
Prices
We distinguish between the flight costs and the experience package. The flight can also be booked without the experience package.
The flight costs are calculated at CHF 18 per minute according to the operating hours counter (HOBBS Time). Landing fees, passenger or customs fees according to the regulations of the airport. Calculation basis for fuels (fuel & oil) are the current prices in Birrfeld, Switzerland. Fuel surcharges or credit notes according to external petrol stations. If the aircraft is parked in a hangar overnight or in difficult weather conditions, you will be charged for these related costs. For transfer flights you will be charged for the costs incurred - just as if a passenger were on board. The flights are private, non-commercial and at cost price. Airfare is payable in advance. Final payment on site in cash or credit card. The credit card fee is not included in the total price.
The experience package includes the planning, organisation, preparation and services of the open air experience out of the flight time. The experience package costs CHF 800 per day and is invoiced separately by the Starplane Association for its members.
This & That
The aircraft with the pilot can be occupied by max. 2 persons per flight. The highest principle: safety first! The payload with luggage depends on the total weight of the persons and tank filling. Depending on the route we choose ideally located refuelling stops to ensure a safe flight within the permitted weight limits of the aircraft and your personal comfort.
Due to weather conditions, flight routes/times or dates may change. As a rule, 24 hours before departure, the time and route selection can be fixed relatively reliably. Changes are therefore possible at any time.
